I build with earth and other natural materials. In 2005 I traveled to the small mountain village of El Rito, New Mexico to learn adobe construction with Quentin Wilson. After more than 15 years of study and field work I now teach an Adobe Construction Certificate which guides owner builders through the design and construction process of a healthy, energy efficient home using earth as the primary building material.
I make sound recordings about material and movement. I often begin with field interviews as an introduction to a topic. Examples of this work can be found in my Mud Talks Podcast Series. Field recordings also form the basis of the sound tracks that I release through Bandcamp.
I make films about focus and place. My early moving images were shot on Super 8. Examples of this work can be found in my Music Video Archive. Recently, I have been documenting quiet scenes unfolding in remote locations. This work is released through Cargo Collective.
